Review: Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Mascara

We all know mascara is my have-to-have makeup item. I just don’t feel myself without a coat (ok, maybe three coats…) of mascara on my lashes. I am forever searching for the best mascaras to plump up my lashes and open my eyes up. I have tried so many mascaras and have become quite picky with them.

Today, I thought I’d give you my thoughts on the Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes mascara.

For starters, the main thing that stands out for this one is the applicator wand. It is small and spherical, instead of the long ones you normally get. I quite like this because, yes it takes a bit longer, but it allows you to be very precise and get every little lash, without getting mascara all over your eye lids.

I have also found that this product is quite lengthening, but I do put on a couple of coats to get it to how I like it.

The negatives, it does take a little longer to put on. This isn’t really a quick swipe and go product. It is also a bit more pricy at £24, so I would say this is more of a treat yourself kind of thing, but I do love having it as an option in my mascara bag (yes, I do have a cosmetics bag just for mascara…..don’t judge me!) I do think that you can get other mascaras that will work just as well from a high street brand, so if you aren’t in the market for a pricy mascara, have no fear, you will find some pretty fab ones at Superdrug.

Overall, I give this product a thumbs up because it goes on easily, it does lengthen my lashes and gives me an ‘eyes wide open’ look, which I love and I do really like the smaller applicator wand.

Let me know if you like this product too, or if you don’t think it’s worth the money.

Until next time gang,

xx

Review: Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara

If I had to choose only one makeup product to use for the rest of my life, it would have to be mascara. I feel like it just makes me a bit more me and feel so naked without it. This means that I am a bit mascara obsessed and love trying out new formulas and can be quite picky as to which ones I actually end up using on a daily basis.

My current go-to which passed the Chantilly Mascara Review is the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. I know that this is probably not new to a lot of you, but it is worth mentioning because it really is a bloomin’ lovely product!

I am sure you have probably seen quite a few beauty bloggers with the unicorn version of this that comes in silver packaging (I am not one of them sadly! Just picture what’s below but in silver!) and it is so cute! I love the packaging of the product anyway because it is very unique!

I love this formula because it gives me both volume and length and I don’t have to keep layering it on to achieve my desired look (which is a lot of mascara! Remember how much I love it…?) I will say that it is not particularly curling, but I give my lashes a good curl before I use any mascara, so this isn’t a deal breaker for me. I have found that it can be a little flakey, but that has only happened once or twice and it is so perfect for everyday I have over looked that since it isn’t a normal occurrence.

It is just such a useful product, whack it on, and done. No fuss, just beautiful lashes!

Let me know if you love this mascara, or want to try it out by sharing this post so we can spread the mascara love!

Until next time gang,

xx
